Description
Schuller Allround FSP is a façade brush with a pure synthetic bristle blend for paint jobs with façade paint, wall paint, varnish and stain. The manufacturer approves it for all paints, varnishes and stains; it is particularly suitable for water-soluble products. With 75 mm width, 17 mm thickness and 62 mm bristle length, it is aimed at painters and DIY enthusiasts who paint surfaces, corners and connections with a brush.

Limits & notes
Solvent-based varnishes and oils can also be applied with the brush, but its strengths lie with water-based products. Anyone who mainly works with solvent-based varnishes or oil paints is better served by a brush with natural bristle (China bristle). Large, smooth wall surfaces are painted faster with a paint roller.
Application & tips
Before first use, knock new brushes out in the palm of your hand so that loose bristles do not end up in the paint. Dip the brush in the paint up to about a third of the bristle length and wipe it off on the scraper grid. On the façade, first cut in corners, edges and connections, then spread the paint crosswise over the surface and finish with strokes in one direction. Wash out water-based paint with water straight after the work; with solvent-based products use the cleaning agent specified by the paint manufacturer. Shake out the washed brush and let it dry lying down or hanging, never standing on the bristles.

Can I also use the brush for solvent-based varnish?
Yes, Schuller approves it for all paints, varnishes and stains. It works best with water-soluble paints and varnishes.
What is a 75 mm wide façade brush intended for?
For surfaces, reveals and connections that are hard to reach with the roller. For window frames and narrow profiles a narrower brush is handier.
How do I clean the brush after emulsion paint?
Wash out immediately with lukewarm water until the water stays clear. The synthetic bristles do not swell in the process.
Is the wooden handle painted?
No, with the Allround series Schuller uses an untreated wooden handle.
