Description
Otto Siloxan 290 L prevents moisture from penetrating into building materials without impairing their breathability. The thermal insulation of an external wall treated with Otto Siloxan 290 L is improved, saving heating costs. In addition to reduced water absorption, the water-repellent building material shows a much lower tendency to become soiled. Salt efflorescence and moss and algae growth are prevented. Particular advantages of Otto Siloxan 290 L are its deep penetration, its alkali resistance, UV resistance and its suitability even for slightly damp building materials.

For vertical surfaces
Pre-treatment:
The substrate should be free of dust and grease, sound and as dry as possible. Weathered surfaces with efflorescence should be pre-treated by sand or steam blasting or washing off with suitable cleaners. Remove moss, mould and algae growth completely.
Anti-mould spray, reliably removes mould. Permanent removal of mould, algae, fungi and moss.
Application:
Otto Siloxan 290 L is applied from top to bottom by spraying or brushing. Shake the container well before use. Application is made in one or more passes, always applying very generously, i.e. wet-on-wet. Avoid splashes on adjacent surfaces such as glass, window and door frames made of wood and metal, gutters and elastic expansion joints by covering them. This also applies to neighbouring facades, whose colour can be deepened by Otto Siloxan 290 L. Plastics in the facade or flat roof area must be checked for compatibility before the water-repellent treatment. For heavily weathered mortar joints we recommend a preliminary test to see whether a water-repellent treatment is still effective.

Storage:
12 months from the date of production in unopened packaging, stored cool (+5ºC and +25ºC) and dry. Close opened containers tightly and use up quickly.
