  • Ready to use and very user-friendly
  • Free of dichloromethane (DCM)
  • Does not attack polystyrene foam (Styropor).
  • Fast drying process.
  • Good adhesion on many materials.
  • Fast bond with immediate hand strength.

Areas of application Pattex Power Spray Permanent:

  • materials (not suitable for uneven surfaces).
  • Suitable for fast bonding of e.g. plastic, metal, wood, porcelain, cork, leather, ceramics, cardboard, paper and rubber.
  • Suitable for bonding on surfaces with low surface energy.

General notes:

  • Not suitable for applications with permanent water exposure.
  • Not suitable for vinyl or other materials with a high plasticiser content.
  • The final strength of the bond depends on the strength (not the duration) of the pressing together.
  • Because of the large number of different surfaces, it is recommended to carry out an adhesion test on both substrates before use.

Substrate pre-treatment:

Condition: The materials to be bonded should be level and fit well, and be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Surface preparation: No pre-treatment necessary. Pre-sanding smooth surfaces improves bond strength. Make sure that the surface is dry, level, firm and clean as well as free of dust, adhesive residues, grease and oil It is advisable to carry out an adhesion/compatibility test on each substrate first.
Soudabond 280 Power Spray can be used on all substrates. Prevent the migration of plasticisers from soft plastics, as this can impair adhesion.

Application:

Shake the can well before use. Always hold the spray can upright during application and press firmly on the nozzle. Spray onto the object from a distance of approx. 5 - 10 cm. Apply the adhesive evenly to both parts to be bonded. Spray beads over the entire material, ideally overlapping half of each bead with the preceding bead, so that the entire surface is finally covered with 2 layers. Two thin layers (with overlap) give better results than one thick layer. Wait at least 5 minutes (at 23 °C and 50 % relative humidity) and join both parts together. Then press together firmly. The
final strength of the bond depends on the strength (not the duration) of the pressing together. After spraying, hold the can upside down and operate the sprayer until only propellant and no product emerges, to avoid blockages.

Storage:

with unopened packaging in a dry place at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C. Store upright. The product is to be stored in compliance with the rules for storing flammable substances.

Project: Bond strips, boards and panels

Bond strips, panels and wall boards onto a clean, load-bearing and dust-free substrate; absorbent surfaces such as plaster or concrete need a primer depending on the adhesive. Apply the adhesive in strips or, for large boards, over the full surface with the notched trowel and fix the parts until the adhesive has grabbed.
