Description
The 700 mm wide roll is the largest version of the range and is intended for large-area building waterproofing: walls in contact with the ground, ceilings covered with earth, wide plinth upstands. One strip replaces two narrower ones and thus saves a seam per metre. One roll delivers 14.0 m² of membrane area.

Limits & notes
The membrane belongs on the positive side facing the water and is not designed for pressing water; a class W2-E waterproofing is to be provided for that. It may remain freely weathered for 24 months at most. A primer is required on mineral, weakly bonded substrates and in wet and cold conditions. When connecting to PVC-P, FPO, PEHD, EPDM or bitumen waterproofing, involve the manufacturer's application technology department beforehand.
Application & tips
Prepare the substrate sound, firm and free of dust, oil, grease and release agents, for structural waterproofing to DIN 18533-2; fill gravel pockets, knock off sharp edges. Peel off the 30 mm wide strip of the asymmetrically split release liner, bond this part to the profile, then peel off the remaining release liner and work the membrane on firmly with the hard rubber roller. Bond width on the profile 20 to 30 mm, on the building structure 30 to 50 mm, overlap joints by around 50 mm; roll the edges on firmly again, avoid air pockets. Full adhesion is reached after about 24 hours. Store rolls cool, dry and upright.
Frequently asked questions
Is 700 mm worthwhile compared with two narrower strips?
On large surfaces yes: every overlap saved is one weak point fewer and saves laying time. For small-scale connections, however, the roll at around 7 kg is unwieldy.
Do I need a primer?
Not on smooth, sound profiles. On mineral, weakly bonded substrates and in cold and damp conditions a primer coat is required, and on wet substrates an adhesion promoter spray.
How wide must the membrane stick?
On the profile 20 to 30 mm, on the building structure 30 to 50 mm. The decisive factor is the load-bearing capacity of the substrate, which must be proved on site by a trial.
May the membrane remain permanently exposed to the weather?
No. It is UV-resistant for up to 24 months and must be covered or backfilled afterwards.
