Description

Ottopur OP 950 extremely flexible construction foam for permanent absorption of component movements, can be used as winter foam down to -10°C, excellent sound insulation up to 63 dB.

  • Permanent absorption of component movements
  • Can be applied down to -10°C
  • 63 dB sound insulation to EN ISO 717-1
  • 0.035 W/mK insulation value to DIN 52612
  • Foam yield approx. 44 litres per 750 ml can
  • Cuttable after approx. 35 minutes
  • Loadable after approx. 12 hours

Standards and tests:

Joint sound insulation (according to ift guideline SC-01/2:2002-09) tested by the Institute for Window Technology, D-83026 Rosenheim
Tested to DIN 4102-B2 - Normally flammable
Meets the requirements of the Thermal Insulation Ordinance
Meets the requirements for modern window constructions with multi-pane insulating glazing

Areas of application:

  • Installation and insulation of window and door frames made of wood, steel or plastic in masonry
  • Filling and insulating joints and cavities in loft conversions and roof insulation
  • Foaming small wall recesses, cable and pipe penetrations of all kinds and other cavities

Application notes PU foam:

  1. Clean and thoroughly dampen substrates and components.
  2. Protect building elements from deformation, e.g. by bracing.
  3. Shake the can well (at least 20x). Remove the valve protection cap.
  4. Screw the foam can into the adapter. - Warning: do not tighten!
  5. On first start-up, immediately press the trigger lever for approx. 10 seconds and let the material flow out fully (filling the material channel or removing residual atmospheric moisture).
  6. The foam gun is now ready for operation. Operating state: can pointing upwards, gun horizontal.
  7. The amount of foam is regulated with the trigger lever and can be limited with the adjusting screw.
  8. Before changing cans, shake the new can well, unscrew the empty can and replace it immediately (max. 1 minute) with a new can.
  9. Change cans quickly so that the PU foam in the adapter does not cure.
  10. Remove uncured foam from the adapter with OTTOPUR Cleaner.
  11. Wipe cured foam residues off the nozzle tip with a piece of wood (or similar). Do not damage the nozzle tip mechanically! Because of the many possible influences during processing and application, the applicator must always carry out a trial application

Special notes:

There must always be at least a partially filled can mounted so that the PU foam in the dosing gun is under pressure. Close the adjusting screw after use. Never tear the can off by force. Never clean the adapter with a hard object. If the dosing gun is taken out of service, it must be cleaned immediately after unscrewing with OTTOPUR Cleaner. Regular use considerably extends the life and functionality of the dosing guns. Cured foam residues can only be removed mechanically. Fresh product residues can be removed with OTTOPUR Cleaner or OTTO cleaning wipes. In case of skin contact, wash off immediately with soap and water and rinse thoroughly. Please note: the can is under pressure. Protect from sunlight and temperatures above +50 °C.

Storage:

In unopened packaging, stored cool (+5ºC and +25ºC) and dry. The foam cans must be stored upright to prevent the spray valve from sticking. Close opened containers well and use up quickly.
