Description
Sikafloor Antislip Agent is an anti-slip additive based on polypropylene for the balcony sealers Sikafloor-410 and Sikafloor-416. The fine-grained granules are stirred into the sealer and raise the slip resistance to R 9 or R 11, depending on the dosage. The 200 g sack is aimed at tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts who coat a balcony or terrace with the Sika balcony system.

Limits & notes
Sika names only the sealers Sikafloor-410 and Sikafloor-416 as areas of use. For epoxy resin and other polyurethane sealers of the Sikafloor range, the manufacturer has its own anti-slip additive based on polyethylene. The slip resistance classes R 9 and R 11 are stated for the dosages given in the data sheet. The additive matts the surface; anyone who wants to keep the gloss of the sealer should bear this in mind beforehand.
Application & tips
Stir the required quantity of anti-slip additive into the sealer before application until the granules are evenly distributed. Substrate, application quantity, application temperature and waiting times depend on the data sheet of the respective sealer. The granules themselves are not classified as hazardous; the protective instructions of the sealer into which they are stirred apply to the work. Store cool and dry at +5 to +30 °C.
Frequently asked questions
How much anti-slip additive do I need?
According to Sika 1.5 % for R 9 or 4.0 % for R 11 in Sikafloor-410 and 4.0 % for R 11 in Sikafloor-416.
Can I also stir the granules into other floor coatings?
The data sheet names only Sikafloor-410 and Sikafloor-416. For other systems Sika gives no values for slip resistance.
Does the anti-slip additive change the look?
Yes, it matts the surface. A glossy sealer looks more matt after the addition.
How long does the anti-slip additive keep?
Sika states 60 months from the date of production for the unopened original container at +5 to +30 °C.
