Description
Ottoseal S72 Plexiglas Silicone and Plastics Silicone adheres without primer to almost all plastics and to twin-wall sheets. Ottoseal S721K silicone adhesive causes no stress cracking on non-pre-stressed Plexiglas. Ottoseal S72 Plexiglas Silicone & Plastics Silicone has been tested for compatibility in contact with food.Ottoseal S72 is an indispensable Plexiglas silicone and plastics silicone for bonding and sealing in greenhouse, plastics and conservatory construction, even under weathering, ageing and UV exposure.
- Neutral-curing 1K silicone adhesive based on alkoxy

Areas of application:
- Bonding and sealing in plastics, greenhouse and conservatory construction, even under weathering, ageing and UV exposure
Application:
Application temperature: +5ºC to +35ºC.
Application method: apply with a manual caulking gun, compressed-air gun or cordless gun.
Cleaning: with white spirit before curing, afterwards removable with silicone remover or mechanically.
Smoothing: with smoothing agent and scraper before a skin forms.
Pre-treatment:
The bonding surfaces must be clean, free of grease, dry and sound. The bonding surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination, such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives / sealants and other substances that impair adhesion, must be removed. Cleaning non-porous substrates: clean with OTTO Cleaner T (flash-off time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning porous substrates: clean surfaces of loose particles mechanically, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding disc. Clean sensitive plastics with methylated spirits or with a cleaner recommended by the plastics manufacturer.
Storage:
12 months from the date of production in unopened packaging, stored cool (+5ºC and +25ºC) and dry. Close opened containers tightly and use up quickly.
The specific use-by date can be found printed on the container and must be observed. We recommend storing Otto Chemie adhesives and sealants in the unopened original containers dry (< 60 % RH) in a temperature range of + 15° C to + 25° C. If the products are stored and/or transported for longer periods (several weeks) at higher temperature/humidity, a reduction in shelf life or a change in material properties cannot be ruled out.
