Description
Ottoseal S7 (identical to Novasil S7) is a special, highly weather-resistant silicone with outstanding weather resistance, ageing resistance, ozone resistance and UV resistance. Ottoseal S7 special highly weather-resistant silicone for weatherproof sealing of glass facades, sloping glazing, roof glazing and above all conservatories.

Areas of application:
Specially developed for weatherproof sealing (weather sealing) on glass facades (structural glazing), sloping glazing, roof glazing and conservatories.
Suitable for sealing insulating glass units and glass elements made of laminated safety glass and toughened safety glass. Not suitable for structural bonding of structural glazing elements.

Pre-treatment:
Preparing the bonding surfaces. Compatibility: paints, varnishes, plastics and other coating materials must be compatible with the adhesive / sealant.
Cleaning: The bonding surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination, such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives / sealants and other substances that impair adhesion, must be removed. Substrates: cleaner for non-porous ones. Cleaning should be carried out with OTTO Cleaner T, or other cleaners based on acetone or isopropanol, and with a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaner for porous substrates: porous surfaces must be cleaned of loose particles mechanically, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding disc.
Application:
Application temperature: +5ºC to +35ºC.
Application method: apply with a manual caulking gun, compressed-air gun or cordless gun.
Cleaning: with white spirit before curing, afterwards removable with silicone remover or mechanically.
Smoothing: with smoothing agent and scraper before a skin forms.
Storage:
In unopened packaging, stored cool (+5ºC and +25ºC) and dry. Close opened containers tightly and use up quickly.
