Description
Ottoseal S70 Premium Natural Stone Silicone for applying silicone joints on natural stone. Ottoseal S70 is outstandingly easy to work with.

Application:
- Sealing and jointing on marble and all natural stones, e.g. sandstone, quartzite, granite, gneiss, porphyry etc. indoors and outdoors
- Sealing expansion joints in wall and facade areas
- Movement-compensating bonding of natural stone to metal, e.g. stair treads to a metal structure
- Sealing and jointing marble / natural stone swimming pools, including underwater joints
- Sealing varnished and enamelled glass
- For sealing the edges of mirrors in combination with natural stone
Standards and tests:
- Tested to ISO 16938-1 by SKZ Würzburg (testing for edge-zone staining of natural stone by joint sealants)
- Tested to ASTM C 1248 by DL Laboratories New York (testing for edge-zone staining of natural stone by joint sealants)
- Suitable for applications in accordance with IVD leaflet no. 9
- “Particularly recommendable low-emission building product” according to the building materials list (TOXPROOF) of TÜV Rheinland
Application method:
The bonding surfaces must be clean, free of grease, dry and sound. The bonding surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination, such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives/sealants and other substances that impair adhesion, must be removed. Cleaning non-porous substrates: clean with OTTO Cleaner T (flash-off time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning porous substrates: clean surfaces of loose particles mechanically, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding disc.
The requirements for elastic seals and bonds depend on the respective external influences. Extreme temperature fluctuations, expansion and shear forces, repeated contact with water etc. place high demands on an adhesive bond. In such cases, where recommended (e.g. +/OTTO Primer 1216), the use of the primer mentioned is advisable in order to achieve as durable a bond as possible.
