Otto natural stone tooling agent 250ml

Description

Smoothing agent for natural stone for perfect application of natural stone sealants. The natural stone smoothing agent prevents soiling of the edge zones. No stains in the natural stone!

  • Aqueous solution of surface-active substances
  • Specially matched to sensitive types of marble and natural stone
  • Reduces the risk of smoothing-agent staining to a minimum
  • Gentle on the skin thanks to dermatologically tested active ingredients
  • Does not have a degreasing effect on the skin
  • Preserves the gloss of the sealant surface

Areas of application:

For smoothing natural stone silicones on marble and other natural stones

Standards and tests:

  • On the basis of the results of the in-vivo compatibility test (test report from the Institut Fresenius, D-65232 Taunusstein), the smoothing agent can be classed as harmless with regard to any skin-irritating effect

Application:

Before the joint sealant forms a skin, spray the smoothing agent generously onto the sealant and onto the fingers or a smoothing spatula and smooth the joint. Remove excess sealant and wipe it off immediately. Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C.

Application notes:

Use OTTO Marble Silicone Smoothing Agent only undiluted. Smoothing agent should not remain in larger quantities on the silicone joint and dry on, as the dried residues may under certain circumstances impair the appearance of the sealant surface (matt/light patches). If the smoothing agent cannot run off the joint by itself, it is advisable to use as little smoothing agent as possible, e.g. only wet the smoothing tools (smoothing spatula, Fugenboy, Glättfix) lightly. To avoid stains/discolouration on the natural stone, excess smoothing agent should be removed with clear water before it dries on. Otherwise, owing to the special nature of natural stones, stains/discolouration cannot be completely ruled out.
CAUTION: With very sensitive natural stones (e.g. Nero Impala or Nero Assoluto), the use of OTTO Marble Silicone Smoothing Agent and other smoothing agents can cause stains/discolouration that cannot be removed with normal cleaning agents. Because of the many possible influences during processing and application, the applicator must always carry out a project-specific trial application. The specific use-by date can be found printed on the container and must be observed. The 5 l and 10 l canisters are fitted with an anti-glug system.
