Description
Assembly foam B2 PU foam can for fast installation and insulation of door frames, window sills and window frames made of timber, steel or plastic to masonry. Our best-selling assembly foam and unbeatable in price/performance.
- Outstanding dimensional stability, i.e. no loss of volume and only slight post-expansion once curing is complete.
- Excellent adhesion to almost all building substrates (except PE, PP, PTFE and silicones)
- Higher sound insulation and thermal insulation than mineral wool, cork and fibreglass. Fast through-curing
- Resistant to a wide range of solvents, paints and chemicals
- Ageing-resistant, rot-proof, but not UV-resistant
Areas of application:
- Insulating in refrigerated vehicle and cold-room construction
- Fixing and filling in apparatus and metal construction as well as in electrical installation
- Installing and foam-filling window and door frames as well as window sills
- Sound insulation and thermal insulation
- Foam-filling cavities, e.g. wall openings, loft conversions, door frames, pipe penetrations, roller shutter boxes, etc.
Substrates:
All usual building substrates (except PE, PP, PTFE and silicones). The bonding surfaces must be load-bearing, clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Pre-treatment: lightly dampening the surfaces improves adhesion and curing as well as the cell structure of the foam. It is advisable to carry out an adhesion and compatibility test on every substrate first.
Application:
Screw the enclosed adapter tube onto the valve of the assembly foam and shake the can vigorously about 30 times with the valve downwards, so that the contents of the can mix well and the foam quality is optimised. Foam joints or cavities only to about 1/3, as the assembly foam still expands. Cut off protruding, fully cured foam with a knife.
Application temperature: +5°C to +30°C (optimum: 15-25°C)
Cleaning: with gun and foam cleaner before curing, afterwards removable only mechanically.
Remarks:
Cured polyurethane foam should be protected against UV exposure by painting over or sealing with sealants (e.g. silicones, polyurethanes, acrylic or MS polymer).
Standards and approvals:
Building material class B2 (DIN 4102-1), test certificate P- SAC 02/IV-010 (MFPA, Leipzig)
Storage:
In unopened packaging, stored cool (+5ºC and +25ºC) and dry. The foam cans must be stored upright to prevent the spray valve from sticking. Close opened containers well and use up quickly.
Supplied as:
500 ml aerosol spray can (12 pcs. per box)
