Description
FIX ALL CRYSTAL MS Polymer Adhesive is a crystal-clear curing high-performance sealant / adhesive based on hybrid polymer for elastic bonding in the general, automotive, aviation and construction industries. Soudal Fix All Crystal MS Polymer Adhesive is a high-performance MS polymer sealant / adhesive for many fields of application.

Chemical resistance:
Good: water, aliphatic solvents, diluted inorganic acids and alkalis, oils and grease.
Poor: aromatic solvents, concentrated acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Substrates:
FIX ALL CRYSTAL MS polymer adhesive has excellent, mostly primer-free adhesion on a wide variety of substrates, such as metals (steel, AIMgSi1, brass, zinc, steel ST 1403, electrogalvanised and hot-dip galvanised steel, AICuMg1), plastics (polystyrene, polycarbonate, PVC, polyamide and GRP – not on ABS, PE, PMMA, PP, PTFE and silicones), polystyrene foam (Styropor), cork, enamel, concrete, glass, HPL and wood.
Warning: PMMA and polycarbonate may only be bonded stress-free, as otherwise stress cracks are to be expected. For polycarbonate we generally recommend preliminary tests. In general, with plastics it must be ensured that release agents used in manufacture or protective films used for transport are removed without residue before bonding, as these sometimes considerably worsen adhesion. Staining and/or adhesion problems can occur especially on porous natural stones such as sandstone, Carrara, Jura etc. With plasticiser-containing plastics (e.g. soft PVC, butyl rubber, EPDM and APTK) incompatibilities such as discolouration or loss of adhesion can occur. Suitability in the system must be checked here. The bonding surfaces must be sound, clean, free of dust and grease. Dry substrates are particularly suitable. FIX ALL CRYSTAL also adheres to damp substrates and even under water. However, the adhesion achieved in this case can be lower than on dry and cleaned substrates.
Pre-treatment: pre-treat porous substrates with higher water exposure with PRIMER 150 if necessary. For all smooth surfaces we recommend pre-cleaning, degreasing and activating with SURFACE ACTIVATOR.
It is advisable to carry out an adhesion and compatibility test on each substrate first.
Application:
Application method: manual caulking gun, compressed-air gun or cordless gun.
Application temperature:
+0°C (frost-free) to +40°C (ambient temperature)
+0ºC (frost-free) to +35ºC (bonding surface temperature)
Curing takes place by atmospheric humidity at room temperature from outside to inside and slows down over time. At low temperatures and/or low humidity, curing is considerably delayed!
Cleaning: with SURFACE CLEANER, SWIPEX or white spirit before curing, afterwards removable with SILICONE REMOVER or mechanically.
Smoothing: with SMOOTHING AGENT or natural stone smoothing agent before skin formation
Repair option: with FIX ALL CRYSTAL
Remarks:
FIX ALL CRYSTAL is paint-compatible. According to the relevant standards (e.g. DIN 18540), elastic sealants should not be painted over the full surface, as cracks can occur in the non-elastic paint under stress and movement. With alkyd resin paints, a drying delay of the paint can occur. Because of the large number of paint systems available on the market, we recommend appropriate compatibility and adhesion tests beforehand. Any soap residues from smoothing water must be removed before painting, as these impair paint adhesion.
FIX ALL CRYSTAL can yellow and become brittle somewhat under extreme climatic conditions. Do not use with permanent water exposure. Not suitable for structural joints or expansion joints.
Storage:
12 months from the date of production in unopened packaging, stored cool (+5ºC to +25ºC) and dry. Close opened containers tightly and use up quickly.
