Description
OTTOCOLL® P 410 is a flowable PU adhesive used for full-surface, firm bonding. It is therefore used in the production of sandwich elements, e.g. partition walls, door elements, prefabricated-house external walls, facade elements, vehicle bodies etc. Thanks to its high final strength the adhesive withstands mechanical stress and can be sanded and painted over after curing.
- Flowable 1K polyurethane adhesive
- Long working time
- Fast curing, therefore short pressing and fixing times
- Weather-resistant in accordance with DIN 204 D4
- Non-corrosive
- Ideal for automated processing via dosing systems
Areas of application:
Production of sandwich elements, e.g. partition walls, door elements, prefabricated-house external walls, facade elements, vehicle bodies etc.
Bonding large-area elements, e.g. in prefabricated house, caravan and container construction
Production of garden furniture and window timber blanks
Standards and tests:
Ottocoll P410 PU Adhesive complies with the requirements of DIN EN 204-D4 for weather-resistant bonding of wood and wood-based materials
Ottocoll P410 PU Adhesive complies with the requirements of DIN EN 14257 (WATT 91) for heat-resistant bonding of wood and wood-based materials
Special notes:
Before using the adhesive / sealant, the user must ensure that the materials in the contact area (solid, liquid and gaseous) are compatible with the adhesive / sealant and do not damage or alter it (e.g. discolour it). For materials that are subsequently processed in the area of the adhesive / sealant, the user must clarify beforehand that their ingredients or emissions cannot impair or alter the adhesive / sealant (e.g. discolouration). If necessary, the user must consult the respective manufacturer of the materials. For bonding outdoors under the effect of moisture and/or UV radiation we recommend using our hybrid adhesives such as OTTOCOLL M 500, OTTOCOLL Allflex, OTTOCOLL M 590 or OTTOCOLL M 570. The exception is weather-exposed bonding of wood and wood-based materials with a subsequent protective coating in accordance with DIN EN 204 D4. Paints, varnishes, plastics and other coating materials must be compatible with the adhesive / sealant. When bonding large areas of two vapour-tight materials (e.g. door elements of 2x1 m), provision must be made for the CO2 produced to escape (e.g. by cutting slots) in order to avoid blistering. As an alternative to 1K PU adhesives, the 2K PU adhesive OTTOCOLL P 520 can be used, which cures without the formation of C02. The tools can be cleaned with OTTO Cleaner MP as long as the adhesive has not yet set. Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically. Not suitable for bonding glass, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyamide (PA), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), bituminous, waxy or oily substrates or the like. Under UV exposure, discolouration cannot be ruled out.
Pre-treatment:
The bonding surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination, such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives/sealants and other substances that impair adhesion, must be removed. Cleaning non-porous substrates: clean with OTTO Cleaner T (flash-off time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning porous substrates: clean surfaces of loose particles mechanically, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding disc. The bonding surfaces must be clean, free of dust and grease and sound.
Application:
Curing takes place by reaction with moisture. This produces small amounts of CO2, which causes an increase in volume of the adhesive. It is sufficient to apply the adhesive to one side. If necessary, spread over the surface with a spatula or similar. One of the substrates should be porous or permeable to water vapour. The time to curing can be shortened by adding moisture and by higher temperatures. The moisture required for curing can, if necessary, be provided by lightly spraying with water. The bonding surfaces may be slightly damp, but not wet. The parts to be bonded should be joined together immediately if possible, at the latest within the skin-forming time. Fix the materials to be bonded until the adhesive has cured completely. Because of the many possible influences during processing and application, the applicator must always carry out a trial application. The specific use-by date can be found printed on the container and must be observed. We recommend storing our products in the unopened original containers dry (< 60 % RH) in a temperature range of + 15° C to + 25° C. If the products are stored and/or transported for longer periods (several weeks) at higher temperature/humidity, a reduction in shelf life or a change in material properties cannot be ruled out.

Can be stored for at least 9 months cool and dry.

Reviews
All reviews come from buyers. Reviews can only be submitted via the personal, signed link we send to the order's e-mail address after delivery; the link is bound to the order and the purchased item, there is no form without a purchase. We check every review before publication and publish positive and negative reviews alike. Reviews from our former shop baustoffhandel-nrw.de were migrated; there, too, only customers who had bought the item could review it.
