Description
Düfa 2in1 Gloss Paint is a water-based coloured paint based on a PU-reinforced acrylic dispersion for decorative and protective coatings indoors and outdoors. It carries the Blue Angel ecolabel to DE-UZ 12a and contains less than 10 g/l VOC. Twelve glossy shades are available in the 375 ml and the 750 ml tin. This version: RAL 5010 gentian blue in the 375 ml tin.

Limits & notes
“2in1” does not replace the primer on every substrate: the technical data sheet specifies an anti-rust primer on bare steel, an adhesion primer such as Multigrund on zinc, aluminium and plastic, and an undercoat on wood. Paint pressure-impregnated wood only after about six months of weathering. Do not apply below +8 °C. On continuous surfaces use only material from one batch.
Labelling: No signal word, not classified as hazardous. EUH208 Contains 2,4,7,9-tetramethyldec-5-yne-4,7-diol, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May produce an allergic reaction. EUH211 Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist. Safety data sheet available from the manufacturer.
Application & tips
The substrate must be clean, dry, free of grease and sound. Sand old coatings, remove unsound layers; sand wood in the direction of the grain and round off edges, wood moisture maximum 15 % for dimensionally stable and 18 % for non-dimensionally stable components. Derust steel down to bright metal. Stir the paint well and apply undiluted with a paint brush with synthetic or mixed bristles or a foam roller; for spraying add at most 10 % water. For adequate protection apply at least two coats with intermediate drying, consumption approx. 80–100 ml/m² per coat. Wash off fresh residues and tools immediately with water. Store dry, cool and frost-free; close opened containers tightly.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a primer despite 2in1?
That depends on the substrate. On bare steel an anti-rust primer is necessary, on zinc, aluminium and plastic an adhesion primer such as Multigrund; on bare wood Düfa recommends an undercoat.
How much paint do I need?
Allow approx. 80–100 ml per square metre and coat. For an interior door with around 4 m² of surface (both sides) and two coats, one 750 ml tin is enough.
Can I paint radiators with it?
Yes, hot-water radiators in colours. The paint is heat-resistant up to approx. 80 °C; Düfa does not list it for white radiators.
