Description
weber.fug 875 F is a flexible cement-based grout for narrow joints of 1 to 6 mm in wall and floor coverings. It is classified as CG2 WA to DIN EN 13888, i.e. with increased requirements for water absorption and abrasion resistance. The 5 kg bag is enough for a bathroom, kitchen or terrace and is aimed at tilers as well as DIY users.
Benefits at a glance
- Made for narrow joints: fine surface structure and excellent flank adhesion at 1 to 6 mm joint width.
- Easy-care joint: water- and dirt-repellent, lightfast and frost-proof.
- Quickly finished: can be walked on after 3 hours, mechanically loadable after 3 days.
- Gentle on sensitive coverings: quartz-sand-free (except the colour black), optimum for slightly absorbent tiles.
- Low emissions: EMICODE EC 1.
Areas of application
- Ceramic wall and floor tiles, porcelain stoneware and mosaic
- Glass and metal tiles
- Natural and artificial stone tiles
- Cement tiles with an impregnated surface
- Heated covering constructions, indoors and outdoors
Limits & notes
For joints wider than 6 mm, a wide-joint grout is the right choice. Do not close corner and connection joints with grout, but elastically with a suitable silicone. Do not use strongly acidic cleaning agents or high-pressure or steam jet cleaners; usual household cleaners only after 14 days. In permanently submerged areas, use only with water hardness above 5 °dH. Grout cement tiles only on an impregnated surface.
Hazard statements: Danger. H315 Causes skin irritation. H318 Causes serious eye damage. H335 May cause respiratory irritation. Safety data sheet available from the manufacturer.
Application & tips
Allow the laying mortar to cure completely; the joints must be dry and free of adhesive residues, pre-wet highly absorbent coverings. Cement-containing, alkaline: when mixing wear an FFP2 dust mask, safety goggles and gloves; rinse off splashes immediately with water. Mix 5 kg of powder with 1 to 1.5 l of clean water homogeneously and lump-free, leave to mature for 3 minutes and stir briefly. Work flush and deep into the joints with the grout float, apply again after a few minutes and screed off diagonally. After it has stiffened, wash off with a damp sponge or sponge float, and remove the mortar haze later with a slightly damp sponge. The mix is workable for approx. 25 minutes, at +5 to +30 °C. Test dark shades beforehand on a trial area. Store dry and protected from moisture.
