  • Foam yield approx. 5.5 litres per 250 g / 210 ml double cartridge
  • Complies with building material class B2

Areas of application:

Ottopur Turbo Door Frame Foam is suitable for door frames and window frames made of wood, steel or plastic in masonry.

Application notes:

1. Wedge and brace the door frame. The substrates must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. Pre-treat highly absorbent and porous substrates (e.g. gypsum and aerated concrete walls) with primer.
2. Fit the cardboard strips supplied into the wall gap in the area of the foam spots so that the mixed liquid components do not flow downwards before foaming (after a few seconds).
3. If necessary, protect floor coverings and adjoining components from contamination by covering or masking off.
4. Cut off the cartridge tip with a knife and fit the mixing nozzle.
5. Dispense the components evenly with the special manual gun H 248, avoiding jerky dispensing so that the components are mixed homogeneously in the mixing tube

6. The correctly mixed foam should be light yellow in colour.
7. Apply the foam into the wall gap via the mixing nozzle, then place the cartridge with the gun on cardboard or paper for as long as foam residues are still oozing out of the static mixer.
8. Remove fresh foam stains immediately with Ottopur Cleaner. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically.
9. It is advisable to cut off foam residues only after assembly strength has been reached (frame can be unbraced), after approx. 15 - 18 minutes (at +20° C).
10. Lower temperatures slow the curing speed.
11. If foaming is interrupted, the mixing tube must be removed and later replaced with a new mixing tube.
12. Wooden frames for door leaf weights up to 40 kg must be fixed at a minimum of 6 points, each 20 cm long. Steel frames and all frames with a door leaf weight of over 40 kg must be foamed in over the full surface. The joint gap should be 20 mm at most. Because of the many possible influences during processing and application, the applicator must always carry out a trial application. The specific use-by date can be found printed on the container and must be observed.

Special notes:

With the 2K H248 manual squeeze gun we offer a special application tool for this foam. Fresh product residues can be removed with acetone or OTTOPUR Cleaner. In case of skin contact, wash off immediately with soap and water and rinse thoroughly.
