Description
Ottoflex Pre-Coat is a pre-treatment on absorbent and highly absorbent substrates, such as plasterboard, gypsum components, plaster, concrete, aerated concrete, masonry, stone, screed, chipboard and wood fibreboard; synthetic resin dispersion based on butadiene-styrene.
- Synthetic resin dispersion based on butadiene-styrene
- Solvent-free
- Tested in combination with Ottoflex Liquid Membrane to abP A1 and to the ZDB leaflet I/II and "Testing of waterproofing materials and waterproofing systems" by the Official Materials Testing Institute for Stones and Earths, D-38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld
Areas of application of Pre-Coat:
- Pre-treatment for Ottoflex Liquid Membrane on absorbent and highly absorbent substrates, such as lightweight building boards, plasterboard, gypsum and lime-gypsum plasters, gypsum planks, gypsum fibreboard, concrete, aerated concrete, sand-lime brick, brick, masonry, plasters, screeds, anhydrite and mastic asphalt screeds, building boards, trowelable and self-levelling floor levelling compounds
Standards and tests:
- Tested in combination with Ottoflex Liquid Membrane according to the test principles for the issue of a general building inspectorate test certificate for liquid-applied waterproofing materials in combination with tile and slab coverings (abP) P-AB 075-03
Pre-treatment:
The substrate must be firm, sound, absorbent and perfectly level and free of oil, grease, dust and other release layers. Remove residues by brushing and vacuuming. The application temperature should be between +5 °C and +25 °C.
Application:
Stir or shake Ottoflex Pre-Coat well before use and then apply undiluted, generously and evenly with a paint roller, deep-penetration primer brush or brush. Check the consolidation and curing with a scratch test. Once the primer has dried, tile adhesive can be applied for laying tiles, or the surface can be painted with wall paint, plastered or wallpapered.. Clean equipment with water after use. The drying time depends on the temperature of the air and of the structure, air movement, humidity and the absorbency of the substrate. At +20°C and a relative humidity of 50 % the drying time is about 2 hours. Because of the many possible influences during processing and application, the user must always carry out a trial application. The specific use-by date can be found printed on the container and must be observed.

Reviews
All reviews come from buyers. Reviews can only be submitted via the personal, signed link we send to the order's e-mail address after delivery; the link is bound to the order and the purchased item, there is no form without a purchase. We check every review before publication and publish positive and negative reviews alike. Reviews from our former shop baustoffhandel-nrw.de were migrated; there, too, only customers who had bought the item could review it.
