Description
The GORI 33 Sensitiv Stain is a water-based thin-film wood stain with DIN EN 71 Part 3 certification – developed specially for wood protection in sensitive areas such as kindergartens, schools and playgrounds. The low-emission, low-odour formula reliably protects all wood surfaces with limited or no dimensional stability against weather and greying – indoors and outdoors – without film formation or flaking.

📋 Technical properties
- Base: water-based alkyd synthetic resin, low in solvent
- Coverage: approx. 80 ml/m² – 1 litre is enough for approx. 12 m² (planed wood)
- Drying time: can be overpainted after approx. 4–6 hours (at 23 °C, 50 % rel. humidity)
- Paint system: 2 coats recommended (primer + final coat)
- Application: brush, roller or airless spray equipment

🔧 Substrate & application
Free the substrate of dirt, algae, mould and loose paint particles. Scrape out resin spots and clean with a suitable agent. Sand heavily weathered surfaces down to sound wood. Lighten greyed wood if necessary with GORI Universal Wood Bleach 3061. Remove old varnish and thick-film stains completely; lightly sand intact thin-film stains.
⚠️ Important: Do not apply at temperatures below +10 °C or relative humidity above 80 %. Use material of the same batch no. on one surface to ensure colour consistency. Seal end-grain surfaces (end and cut points) with additional coats.
💡 Note on shades: Stains let the substrate show through – the shade varies depending on the type of wood. Always check the shade by test coat; sample-matching shades only appear after complete drying.
Storage: Close the container well after use. Store and transport cool, dry and frost-free.
