Description
This set is a universal 4-piece tool set for drawing silicone joints. The smoothing spatula can be used individually for many joints. The smoothing agent spray is ready for immediate use and optimally matched to Otto Chemie sealants (not suitable for natural stone). The cartridge cutter is suitable for all PE construction cartridges. The H17 cartridge press is suitable for all 280/290/300/310 ml cartridges.

Drawing silicone joints is an important task for ensuring a durable, tight and also attractive seal. Otto Chemie offers high-quality products and tools for drawing silicone joints.
1. Preparation
- Cleaning: Remove all old sealant, dirt and grease from the surface.
2. Choosing the right silicone
- OTTOSEAL S 100: Ideal for sanitary and kitchen applications.
- OTTOSEAL S 70: Specially suited to natural stone.
- OTTOSEAL S 120: For glass and metal connections.
3. Applying the silicone
- Cutting the cartridge tip: Cut the tip of the silicone cartridge with a cartridge cutter at an angle of about 45 degrees.
- Inserting the cartridge: Insert the cartridge into the silicone gun.
- Applying: Apply the silicone evenly into the joint by guiding the gun slowly and evenly along the joint.
4. Smoothing the joint
To obtain a smooth and even joint, you must smooth the silicone after application:
- Smoothing agent: Use a suitable smoothing agent to smooth the silicone.
- Smoothing tool: Use a smoothing tool to smooth the joint evenly. Make sure that the smoothing tool is dipped into the smoothing agent regularly.
5. Curing
Allow the silicone to cure completely. The curing time can vary depending on the product and ambient temperature. Observe the information on the silicone packaging.
