Description
Tangit ABS Cement is a solvent-containing special adhesive for tensile-strength bonds of ABS pressure and waste pipes with matching fittings. It was developed specifically for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology, where high requirements for tightness and impact strength apply.

Compared with standard PVC cements, Tangit ABS offers higher impact strength for systems with mechanical loading.
Technical properties & application
Base: methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and butyl acetate, ready to use, not dilutable. Open time at 20 °C approx. 1 minute, curing by physical setting. Additionally meets EN 1455 in the non-pressure range and DIN EN ISO 15493 in the pressure piping system. Storage dry at at least +5 °C, shelf life 24 months.
Practical tip
Cut pipe ends to length at right angles, chamfer the outside at a 15° angle and deburr the inside. Apply adhesive thinly into the socket, more generously onto the pipe end and push together immediately as far as the stop without twisting.
