Description
Soudal Calofer is a ready-to-use, one-component sealing compound based on sodium silicate for joints and connections in the high-temperature range. It cures without cracking and withstands continuous temperatures up to 1500 °C – ideal for sealing ovens, chimneys and boilers.

Technical properties & application
Based on sodium silicate it is considerably more heat-resistant than conventional silicone or acrylic, which becomes brittle under continuous heat. Adheres to common building substrates (except PE, PP, PTFE); keep surfaces sound, clean and free of grease. Application temperature +5 °C to +35 °C, application by manual or compressed-air gun or spatula. After application, heat up slowly after 12 hours at the earliest to avoid blistering. Clean with water before curing, afterwards only mechanically.
Practical tip: Carry out an adhesion and compatibility test before use on new substrates. After curing the sealant is not permanently elastic – unsuitable for moving joints. Store cool (+5 °C to +25 °C), dry and protected from temperatures above +40 °C.
