Schuller LABSTAR PVC gloves industrial glove extra long size XXL / 11

The Schuller LABSTAR is an industrial glove made of PVC with an extra-long cuff for wet and dirty work where hand and forearm are to stay dry and clean. It has been tested to EN 388 for mechanical risks and certified as category II personal protective equipment. One pair is supplied in size 11 (XXL) for large hands, intended for the trades, industry and DIY users.

Limits & notes

Schuller lists the LABSTAR in its range of acid- and chemical-resistant industrial gloves. According to the EU declaration of conformity (17 January 2024), however, it is certified only to EN ISO 21420 and EN 388 – there is no test as a chemical protective glove to EN ISO 374. For work with acids, alkalis, solvents or other hazardous substances, a chemical protective glove tested to EN ISO 374 is therefore the right choice; the safety data sheet of the product used is always decisive. The glove offers cut protection only at the lowest level (level 1).

Application & tips

Check gloves for tears and holes before every use and do not continue to use damaged gloves. Size 11 corresponds to a large man's hand; if you are between two sizes, choose the larger one for wet work, as the glove is then easier to take off. After work, rinse the outside with water, leave the inside open to dry and store dry and protected from the sun.

Frequently asked questions

Is the glove approved for acids and chemicals?
No. It is certified to EN 388 for mechanical risks, not to EN ISO 374. For hazardous substances use an EN 374 glove.

What does 2121X mean?
The performance levels according to EN 388: abrasion 2, cut 1, tear 2, puncture 1; X means the TDM cut test was not carried out.

Which hand size does XXL fit?
XXL corresponds to glove size 11 and thus a large, broad hand.
