Description
Ottoseal S54 Fire Protection Silicone is flame-retardant B1. Ottoseal S54 Fire Protection Silicone for sealing identical and different materials such as glass, stainless steel, aluminium and some plastics, even on difficult adhesion substrates such as asphalt, tar.

Areas of application of Fire Protection Silicone:
- Connection joints on mastic asphalt screeds
- Bonding EPDM and APTK profiles
- Bonding joint tapes on polysulfide basis
- Stress-compensating sealing of identical and different materials such as glass, stainless steel, aluminium and some plastics
- Sealing joints on difficult adhesion substrates, such as asphalt, tar etc.
Substrates:
The bonding surfaces must be clean, free of grease, dry and sound so that the high-temperature adhesive adheres. The bonding surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination, such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives / sealants and other substances that impair adhesion, must be removed. Cleaning non-porous substrates: clean with OTTO Cleaner T (flash-off time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning porous substrates: clean surfaces of loose particles mechanically, e.g. with a wire brush or a grinding disc
Application:
Application method: manual caulking gun, compressed-air gun or cordless gun
Application temperature:
+5°C to +40°C (ambient temperature)
+5ºC to +35ºC (bonding surface temperature)
Storage:
In unopened packaging, stored cool (+5ºC and +25ºC) and dry. Close opened containers tightly and use up quickly.
