Pre-treatment:
The bonding surfaces must be clean, free of grease, dry and sound. The bonding surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination, such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives / sealants and other substances that impair adhesion, must be removed. Cleaning non-porous substrates: clean with OTTO Cleaner T (flash-off time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning porous substrates: clean surfaces of loose particles mechanically, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding disc.
Application:
Application temperature: +5ºC to +35ºC.
Application method: apply with a manual caulking gun, compressed-air gun or cordless gun.
Cleaning: with white spirit before curing, afterwards removable with silicone remover or mechanically.
Smoothing: with smoothing agent and scraper before a skin forms.
Special notes:
Before using the adhesive / sealant, the user must ensure that the materials in the contact area (solid, liquid and gaseous) are compatible with the adhesive / sealant and do not damage or alter it (e.g. discolour it). For materials that are subsequently processed in the area of the adhesive / sealant, the user must clarify beforehand that their ingredients or emissions cannot impair or alter the adhesive / sealant (e.g. discolouration). If necessary, the user must consult the respective manufacturer of the materials. During curing, small amounts of acetic acid are gradually released. Ensure good ventilation during application and curing. After curing, the product is completely odourless, physiologically harmless and inert. The curing time lengthens as the layer thickness of the silicone increases. One-component silicones are not suitable for full-surface bonding unless the special structural conditions for it are met. If the silicone sealant is to be used in layer thicknesses of more than 15 mm, please contact our application technology department beforehand. Avoid contact with materials containing bitumen or releasing plasticisers, e.g. butyl, EPDM, neoprene, insulating and black coatings.
Storage:
In closed containers, can be stored for at least 18 months cool and dry.
The specific use-by date can be found printed on the container and must be observed. We recommend storing Otto Chemie adhesives and sealants in the unopened original containers dry (< 60 % RH) in a temperature range of + 15° C to + 25° C. If the products are stored and/or transported for longer periods (several weeks) at higher temperature/humidity, a reduction in shelf life or a change in material properties cannot be ruled out.

Reviews
All reviews come from buyers. Reviews can only be submitted via the personal, signed link we send to the order's e-mail address after delivery; the link is bound to the order and the purchased item, there is no form without a purchase. We check every review before publication and publish positive and negative reviews alike. Reviews from our former shop baustoffhandel-nrw.de were migrated; there, too, only customers who had bought the item could review it.
