Description
The premium corner-joint adhesive OTTOCOLL® P 525 is a 2-component PU adhesive that is perfectly suited to weather-resistant bonding of corner joints on metal windows, doors and facades as well as conservatories. But this adhesive also handles various other bonds in metal construction and various force-locking bonds of a wide variety of materials such as wood, metal, plastic or stone without any problem. OTTOCOLL® P 525 is characterised by reliable through-curing without volume shrinkage and extreme tensile strength in the cured state.

Pre-treatment:
The bonding surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination, such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives / sealants and other substances that impair adhesion, must be removed. Cleaning non-porous substrates: clean with OTTO Cleaner T (flash-off time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning porous substrates: clean surfaces of loose particles mechanically, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding disc. The bonding surfaces must be clean, free of grease, dry and sound.
Application notes:
Processing 2K adhesives and sealants from side-by-side cartridge: First remove the stoppers of both components. Insert the cartridge into the gun. Squeeze out material until material emerges from both components. Wipe off material and attach the static mixer. Check the homogeneity of the mixture. Apply the adhesive and join the parts as soon as possible, at the latest within the processing time. Because of the many possible influences during processing and application, the applicator must always carry out a trial application. The specific use-by date can be found printed on the container and must be observed. We recommend storing our products in the unopened original containers dry (< 60 % RH) in a temperature range of + 15° C to + 25° C. If the products are stored and / or transported for longer periods (several weeks) at higher temperature/ humidity, a reduction in shelf life or a change in material properties cannot be ruled out. Safety goggles must be worn during application. Maximum working pressure 5 bar when processing with compressed-air guns.
