Description
This impact sound insulation made of PE foam film is rolled out as an underlay beneath floating floor coverings. It evens out small unevennesses, dampens footfall noise and separates the covering from the substrate. The roll measures 1 m × 25 m at 2 mm thickness and thus covers 25 m².
Benefits
- Noticeably dampens impact sound and heat
- Suitable for underfloor heating, does not impede heat output
- Resistant to mould and moisture
- Roll for 25 m², enough for an average living room
- Easy to cut to size and to lay without tools
Areas of application
- Underlay for laminate, cork and solid hardwood
- Floating installation on screed and mineral substrate
- Rooms with underfloor heating
- Can additionally be used as packaging and protective film when transporting sensitive components
Product details
Material is polyethylene foam in white with a thickness of 2 mm and a bulk density of 20 kg/m³. Roll size 1 m width × 25 m length, coverage 25 m². Made in Germany.
The substrate must be dry, clean and level. Butt the lengths together, do not overlap them, and close the joints with adhesive tape. On mineral substrate a vapour barrier must additionally be planned, as PE foam of this thickness does not replace a moisture barrier.
