Description
OTTO Kompriband BG1 is an impregnated, pre-compressed joint sealing tape made of polyurethane foam for connection joints on windows, doors and facade components. It meets stress group BG 1 to DIN 18542 and is driving-rain-tight up to 600 Pa. The tape is supplied as a roll in several widths and is suitable for professionals and DIY enthusiasts.

Limits & notes
Driving-rain tightness only applies if the tape size matches the joint width; the manufacturer's data sheet states the range of use of each size. Suitability for RAL installation is not shown in the data sheet. For this, an expressly approved window sealing system must be used.
Application & tips
The joint flanks must be clean, dry and free of grease and dust. Choose a tape size that matches the joint width, remove the protective film and insert the tape flush into the joint; it expands and seals the joint by itself. The tape is temperature-resistant from -30 to +90 °C and, at 23 °C and 50 % relative humidity, has a storage stability of 24 months.
