Description
Gold Pack painter's masking fleece is a floor protection fleece made of grey fleece with a PE-coated underside for painting, renovation and removal work. With a basis weight of 270 g/m² it is one of the heavy masking fleeces. It is made in Germany and supplied as a 1 m wide roll of 25 m or 50 m length, for single rooms as well as for entire flats and building sites.

Limits & notes
The fleece is not self-adhesive. On smooth floor coverings and at overlaps the strips must be fixed with adhesive tape so that nothing slips. For stairs, a self-adhesive painter's fleece is the safer choice. The PE side always goes down, because only the grey fleece side absorbs paint and dirt.
Application & tips
Sweep or vacuum the floor beforehand so that no sand rubs under the fleece. Unroll the roll along the wall, cut the strips to room length and lay them out with the grey fleece side up. Let overlaps run a few centimetres and secure them with adhesive tape; also tape down at walls and door thresholds. After the work, fold the fleece together from the outside inwards so that paint residues and dirt stay on the top side.

Which side goes down?
The PE-coated side. It is liquid-tight and protects the floor; the grey fleece side on top absorbs paint and dirt.
How much area does a roll cover?
The roll is 1 m wide. 25 m of length covers 25 m², 50 m of length 50 m². Allow about 10 % reserve for overlaps and offcuts.
Can I use the fleece on stairs?
Only with careful fixing by adhesive tape on every step. For stairs, a self-adhesive painter's fleece is safer.
