Felt board RFP raw felt 333 g/m² floor protection roll 1 x 50 m

Description

Raw felt board RFP is a felt board made of used textiles and waste paper for protecting floors and stairs during painting and plastering work as well as a separating and protective layer in dry interior fit-out. It is produced without chemical additives, is breathable, absorbent and reusable. The grey roll with 333 g/m², 1 m width and 50 m length covers 50 m² and is intended for painters, drywall fitters, floor layers and renovators.

Benefits at a glance

  • Absorbent surface: Paint splashes, plaster and filler residues are absorbed instead of being spread on the floor.
  • Breathable: The board is breathable and is also suitable as an underlay beneath wooden floorboards.
  • Without chemicals: mixture of cotton, textile waste and cellulose, without chemical additives.
  • Reusable: After use, roll up dry and lay out again on the next building site; 100 % recyclable at the end.
  • Large area: 50 m² per roll is enough for several rooms or a complete hallway including stairs.

Areas of application

  • Masking board for painting and plastering work
  • Protection of newly laid floors and stairs during further fit-out
  • Trickle protection beneath dry fill
  • Intermediate layer for asphalt floors on perlite
  • Underlay for wooden floorboards and parquet

Limits & notes

The felt board is intended for dry areas. It absorbs splashes but is not liquid-tight: where larger quantities of paint, paste or water occur, a painter's masking fleece with PE-coated underside protects the floor more reliably.

Application & tips

Sweep the floor clean before laying out so that no grains cause scratches beneath the board. Lay the lengths with about 10 cm overlap and close the joints with adhesive tape if necessary. On wooden substrates the board can be fixed with a stapler or large-head nails; as an underlay for parquet and wooden floorboards it is laid butt-jointed. After work, roll up dry and store dry.
